Nov 2009 Update:

Thanks to T1 Race Development for getting my car tuned and making some great power. Thank you to all of you guys for everything you have done for me.

Goal for this build was to create a great daily driver that made 400ish whp. I have finally reached that goal. I wanted to make sure I ran a boost level that I would drive off the dyno and daily with and not some peak result. So the goal was set and the time was needed to invest and figure out how this twinscrew worked. After countless dynos and time spent I have carefully put together a package that not only makes nice power but also makes it efficiently.

Engine: K24A2 TSX motor stock block with 05-06 Type-S cams and S2000 oil pump

SSR header 4-2-1 and custom 2.5" cat back

Stock Throttle Body with custom Throttle body casting

Blower - Lysholm 1.6 liter 1600ax

Meth injection - #14 nozzle from AIS

Dyno day: - Pulley combo was A2 cp with 3.2 blower pulley producing and efficient 14 psi at 7500rpm
Tune results without meth: 369\270
Tune results with meth: 407\298

I hope this helps to show what an important place meth has with not only being used stand alone but also on top of our aftercoolers. When using meth I saw flatline 122F temps across the board during the pull. I think the number say a lot here in that although its great the aftercooler has peak temps at 175F but look what can be made if we bring the temps down even more. I had a WHP gain of 38whp and 27 tq.

Someone with the time and interest could easily make much more with this setup adding more boost. I like what I have and its great temps so I am good for now.

Peak IAT temps without meth were corrected at 175 F
Peak IAT temps with meth were corrected at 122 F
Blue line is with meth – 407\297
Red line is last dyno session – 311\237
Green line is without meth – 369\270

March 2009 Update:

Thanks to JustinC you can all purchase the Bell Intercooler core ready to be dropped in.

Purchase a drop in aftercooler.

Sept 2008 Update:

Will be rebuilding the blower once all parts come in to handle higher rpms the blower is turning. Outside of this I plan as of right now to run the current setup with A2 cp and 3" blower pulley so the rebuild will give me the reliability I am looking for.

August 2008 update

Find all the information you need on the new core here. This has the design, pics of the finished core and expansion tank.

August 10th 2008 update:

Aftercooler project is just about done. The Bell intercooler is cooling 10-20 degrees cooler than my previous core and thus far I have only seen max temps of 125 degrees F or (136 corrected GM IAT temps). Car has been tuned and at 9.4 psi on a dynojet I put 299 whp and 194tq down.

Buddy Clud RSDs suspension - 1.5 inch drop all around. This is how the car should have come from the factory.

Comptech 22mm solid rear sway - Solid is the key word here. Great handling unit and goes nicely with my little drop.

K-Pro - If your going to boost you need K-Pro. They are the best for the K engine.
