Brockway 920 Build

Well I had a problem. I am not to into the gauge pillars for our cars to house boost gauges and other on demand information. I really wanted to have more of a stealth look yet I needed a boost gauge mainly and I wanted a stealthy shift light. Well after much reading on all my options and of course a budget to think about I found the Brockway R920. At first glance I have to admit the case it comes in is not attractive at all and mounting the thing is near impossible. I went to their site and found they had a DIN for it but because they are coming out with a whole new product line they didnt have the DIN for it anymore.

Thinking I was done for awhile until I came up with a new idea I saw a R920 come up forsale here for a reasonable $160. I still had the issue with not having a way to mount it but confident that I could make something I bought it from the member. After a few email exchanges with Brockway Engineering inquiring about reflashing the software on the unit to get added features, they were nice enough to send me some brackets they had left for this model as well as a complimentary shift light to test out as well as the wiring needed to hook it up. I havent quit gotten the shift light all mocked up but today I finished my DIN for it and thought I would share some pics. It was a lot of trial and error work but it came out very nice I think.

I like the fact that at a touch of a button I have access to a lot of information on my ECU. I have MAP, estimated miles per gallon,IGN, A/F, IAT,DTCs which I can clear as well, battery voltage, and a shift light. There is more info as well but those are the goodies I liked the most.

I will post up some more pictures with the shift light installed once I have completed it.

1st pic is final product installed. Ignore the A/F I didnt have the car running...
2nd pic was the original case.

Well I thought I would add the rest of the project pics for your viewing pleasure. I have finished the Shift light and it came out really well. All in all I am very happy with this project and how stealthy everything is. No one even notices the gauge or shift light which is exactly what I wanted.
